Last Sunday at 6.30am while our team were still busy snoozing (and recovering from a busy Saturday of lessons to be fair to them) Mike had other plans! Leaving Essex as the sun had only just risen, Mike decided to make the most of his free time and head down to Poole Harbour for an impromptu windsurf foiling lesson with Sam! With a three hour drive and such an early start to the day, Mike gave us a call for a wind update on his way down- excited to get out on the water and checking that the drive would be worth his time. We’re happy to say that he was not disappointed!

Sam met Mike at the Easyriders trailer for a 10am start and they rigged up our brand-new 7.0 Severne Foil Glide to suit the light conditions- perfect for a foiling introduction. With immaculate 2021 kit, support and safety cover from our Ballistic RIB, idealistic conditions and the odd invaluable tip off Sam, the morning shaped up to transform ‘already perfectly good windsurfer Mike’ into a windsurf foiler! The harbour provides the perfect location, being so sheltered and flat (if you catch the tide right that is…!) and now that we’re teaching alongside Easyriders, we’re set up to provide the best support in this location. With our Beach Club only 2 minutes down the road from the trailer and our RIB moored up at Sandbanks Yacht Company, we have access to all manner of kit to give you the best start and limitless progression in your chosen sport!

This was all achieved in the space of 2 hours- thanks to world class tuition from Sam and a hardworking eager to learn attitude from Mike. To be fair- we expected nothing less! Mike proved his determination to us with that early start!
